These are white mesh sheets made of plastic (PE). The grid of holes gives you an even surface for needlepoint, embroidery and woven crafts. You can stitch through the openings with yarn or thread, then trim the sheet to the shape you need. The plastic holds its form, so the finished piece keeps a clean edge without a hoop or frame.
Each pack holds 4 sheets. Every sheet is the same size.
| Sheets per pack | Sheet size |
|---|---|
| 4 | 12 x 8 in (30 x 20 cm) |
One sheet is a good size for a small motif, a coaster or a patch. If your design runs larger, line up two or more sheets and stitch them together along the shared edge. The 12 x 8 in (30 x 20 cm) format also cuts down easily with scissors, so you can work a shape that matches your pattern instead of building the pattern around the sheet.
The sheets come in white. A white ground keeps colors bright and reads as a clean background for floral, geometric and lettered designs. It also works as a neutral base when you plan to cover most of the surface with stitches. Because the color is uniform across all four sheets, joined sections blend without a visible shift in tone.
Count the holes in your chart and mark your starting point on the sheet. Cut the sheet to size before you begin, leaving at least one row of holes beyond your design so the edge stays firm. Use a blunt needle so the thread glides through the openings without splitting the plastic. Keep your tension even: pull the yarn snug, but not so tight that the sheet bows.
For a joined piece, overlap the edges by one row and stitch through both layers with a simple whip stitch. This makes a flat seam that disappears into the pattern. If you prefer a framed look, cut the sheet slightly larger than the stitched area and leave the outer rows bare.
These sheets suit the same yarn and thread you would use on needlepoint canvas. Worsted weight yarn covers the grid quickly for bold shapes, while finer thread gives you more detail in a small space. Test a few stitches on a scrap corner first to see how your chosen thread fills the holes.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Let the sheet air dry flat before you store it or continue stitching. Do not soak it or put it in a washing machine, since the plastic mesh can bend out of shape under heat or pressure. Store flat between projects so the sheets stay level.
Because the sheets are sold in a pack of four, you can keep one for a test swatch and use the rest for finished work. Trimmed corners and offcuts are still useful for small accents, so little goes to waste. Measure your pattern before you cut, and mark the sheet lightly with a removable line if you need a guide.
Each sheet measures 12 x 8 in (30 x 20 cm). Every sheet in the pack is the same size, so you can plan a project around one sheet or join several.
The pack includes 4 sheets. All four are white and the same size, which gives you room for a main design plus smaller pieces.
Yes. The plastic mesh trims with scissors, so you can cut a custom outline. Leave at least one row of holes past your stitching so the edge stays firm.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and let them air dry flat. Avoid soaking them or machine washing, since heat and pressure can bend the mesh.
