What these tips are

These are interchangeable knitting needle tips, the working ends that attach to a compatible interchangeable cord. Each pair is 5 in (13 cm) long and comes in silver. The tips are made from stainless steel and carbon fiber, so they feel smooth in the hand and let stitches slide without drag.

You get one pair per pack. Pick the size you need, or collect several sizes to cover different yarn weights and projects.

Sizes

Fifteen sizes are available. The table below lists each one.

Smaller sizes suit fine yarns, socks, and lightweight garments. Mid sizes cover worsted and aran weights. Larger sizes work well for bulky yarns, blankets, and quick projects.

Color and finish

The tips come in silver. The stainless steel and carbon fiber construction gives a clean, low-glare surface that helps you see your stitches clearly, even under warm indoor light.

How to fit and use them

These tips are made to fit interchangeable knitting needle cords. To set up a circular needle, screw one tip onto one end of your cord and the second tip onto the other end. Tighten each join by hand so the tip stays secure while you knit. If your cord set includes a tightening key, use it to snug the connection.

Once attached, knit as you would with any circular needle. The cord holds the bulk of your stitches, so you can work in the round for hats, sweaters, and socks, or work flat for scarves and blankets. When you change projects, unscrew the tips and attach a different size or a different cord length.

Because these are tips only, you will need a compatible interchangeable cord to use them. Check that your cord system matches the thread on these tips before you buy.

Care and storage

Keep the tips clean and dry. Wipe them with a soft cloth after use to remove natural oils from your hands. Store them in a case or pouch so the threads do not get bumped or dirty. Avoid dropping them on hard floors, which can nick the tip surface.

If a join feels loose, unscrew the tip, check the threads for lint or grit, and reattach. Hand tighten only. Do not use tools to force the connection.

Building a set

Many knitters start with one or two sizes and add more over time. If you knit a range of projects, a few sizes cover most patterns: a small size for socks and fine yarn, a mid size for worsted, and a large size for bulky blankets. Because each pack is a single pair, you can choose exactly the sizes you reach for most.

These tips also work well as replacements. If one tip from a pair is lost or damaged, order the same size to get back to knitting.
