Diamond shape and colors

Choose square or round diamonds. Square drills sit close together and give the surface a tight, even look. Round drills leave small gaps between them and catch light in a softer way. Both are made of resin and both work with the same printed canvas.

Each kit uses 30 to 45 colors. The exact count depends on the photo you send and the size you choose. Photos with clear subjects and simple backgrounds tend to read best, since the color range stays focused.

How to use it

The canvas is printed with symbols that match the color key. Work in small sections at a time and keep the rest of the canvas covered so the adhesive stays clean. Pick up a diamond with the tool, place it on the matching symbol, and press it down gently. Use the tweezers to nudge a diamond that lands off center or to lift one that needs to move.

Start from one corner and move across in rows, or work outward from the center. Either way, finish one section before moving to the next. When the canvas is full, press over the surface with a flat hand or a rolling pin to seat the diamonds.

Care and display

Keep the finished piece out of direct sun so the colors stay true. Dust it with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush. If a diamond comes loose, press it back into place while the adhesive is still tacky.

This kit does not include a frame. Once the canvas is complete, take it to a framer or mount it on a board that fits the size you ordered. Store any leftover diamonds in a labeled bag in case you need replacements later.
